Belt Dressing – Ref 79404 - 400ml

Bardahl Belt Dressing is a blend of special oils and acrylic polymers designed to
prevent slipping of all V-Flat and round belts made of rubber, leather or fabric.
The problem
After a certain period of time belts will crack, start to slip and transmission will loose
power. The slippage of the belt can also cause irritating noisy squeal. Aging,
oxidizing, hardening, or drying out will reduce the life of a belt considerably.
The action
Bardahl Belt Dressing will give an immediate result and increase the belt pulling
power by 50%. It will lengthen the lifetime of the belt, prevent cracking and increases
the transmitted power by reducing slippage. It is particularly suitable for leather,
rubber, canvas and most synthetics, and is effective in reducing squeal of vehicle fan
belts. This product differs in formulation and action from all other belt dressing. It will collect
less dust and dirt, it will not harden and glaze, but remain soft, retaining its pulling
power long after application. Bardahl Belt Dressing is waterproof and prevents
slipping even after the most humid conditions.
Applications
Bardahl Belt Dressing may be used on conveyers, industrial and V-belts of all
types. It should not be used where the use of a lubricant is not recommended by the
belt manufacturer. It can be applied without removing safety guards in many cases.
This product can be used in either automotive, do it yourself, agricultural, marine or
industrial applications.
Directions of use
Spray onto the surface from 25 to 30 cm, ensuring an even coating over the whole
surface. Spray from a safe distance into the moving belt. Ensure all surfaces are
covered adequately.
The directional spray also makes it ideal for treating hard-to reach inner surfaces of flat belts. It can be used indoors and outdoors where it ends belt slippage due to heat, cold, dampness or dust.
The applied film will not yellow or oxidize even over long periods, those giving
maximum service life. It can be removed with most common solvents including white
spirit.
